# duodecaton
Duodecaton from the greek "duodeca" which means twelve and the german word "ton" which equals to sound.
It consists of twelve wide band speakers and one woofer and corresponding passive radiator. The woofer and passive radiator are omited in the numbering.
It is roughly based on the micro array from Hexibase.
#The Etymology of the Name: Duodecaton
The name is a sophisticated portmanteau derived from two Ancient Greek roots, perfectly capturing the technical soul of your creation:
"Duodeca-" (δωδεκα): Representing the number Twelve. This refers directly to the twelve high-performance drivers standing in vertical formation within your array.
"-ton" (τόνος): Meaning Tone, Tension, or Sound. Originally, this term described the tension of a string required to produce a musical pitch.
In essence: The name translates to "The Sound of the Twelve". It suggests a singular, harmonious voice emerging from a dozen distinct sources—a "Twelve-Tone" masterpiece of engineering.
